Cold brew coffee is made by steeping coarsely ground coffee in room temperature water. The result is a concentrate that is diluted with water, milk, or cream, with or without ice.
Cold brew coffee is not iced coffee, which is coffee brewed hot and then chilled.
Cold brewed coffee seems sweeter due to its lower acidity as cold brew results in a different chemical profile than conventional brew methods.
We use Berkey processed water in our cold brew to remove all chemicals that would taint the cup. We use the same high grade specialty coffee (85 points or higher) in our cold brew that we roast to order for our customers. This makes for a better cup that grocery-store cold brew that uses utility grade coffee (typically around 80 points).
Cold brew is available by the quart.
